Kiara Fontanesi takes the win at Italian MX Championship Round 2 going 1-1

Kiara wins at Italian MX Championship Round 2 (2)

Kiara Fontanesi takes the win at Italian Motocross Women Championship Round 2 delivering 1-1 victory with decisive gap ahead of 2nd place Nancy Van de Ven and 2019 Italian MX Women Champion Francesca Nocera rounding out top 3.

Kiara Fontanesi Italian MX Women Championship Round 2 at Gazzane, Italy.

Posting remarkable best lap time of 1.45.516 in Timed Practice, Kiara cleared gap of 04.594 seconds ahead of Round One winner Van de Ven and then followed up performance with winning margins of 13.391 seconds in Race 1 and 07.944 seconds in Race 2. Truly amazing result from the 6x WMX Champion who has only had handful of races since birth of Skyler end of 2019.

Ghidinelli Racing Team riders Nancy Van de Ven and Francesca Nocera completed top 3 podiums with Nancy in preparation mode for WMX Round 3 at Mantova on September 27th. With dates clashing with Italian MX Women Championship Round 3, it will be up to Francesca to race for as many points as possible before Italy’s Final Round on October 25th.

Most certainly, after long absence of WMX racing- either National or World MX Championship, Women riders thrive on being able to perform to the best of their ability supported by Brand, sponsors and crew. Without racing, status quo remains whereby WMX riders spin their wheels in training for long-awaited race-time at Championship events.
