Standing 3rd in WMX Overall points, Larissa has gained solid position in Championship with best performance 2nd place R1 at WMX Round 2, keeping competition tight between top 3 WMX Title contenders. Just 7 points seperates Duncan on 89, Van de Ven on 85 and Papenmeier on 82.

Taking the win at French Women MX Round 4 weeks ago, since Larissa has kept schedule busy with racing against Women and guys, break for promotion at GP all while juggling training, work and if lucky some much needed relax time with family and friends.

#423:  ‘After the race in France I still had some German Ladies Cup races and then I had a break of riding for two weeks as I went to go watch the MXGP of Teutschenthal. The break was really good, I filled up some power and went racing this weekend again’.

Having plenty of momentum to carry the seasoned racer forward, Larissa is not shy in coming forward to test race-craft, skills and banging bars against MX2 males- confirming 2019 is new year with fresh start from switch to Yamaha at end 2018 WMX season.

#423: ‘We’ve made some changes to the bike and we are still testing. It is getting better and better and I finally feel really good on my bike!’

‘Racing in the MX2 class against the boys is always the best training. I’m trying to race some more races against the boys in the next weeks. I acutally don’t have so many problems with riding or racing in the hot weather’.

‘But last weekend in the north part of Germany (at the north sea) it wasn’t that hot…’

Having raced at WMX Round at Loket in 2017, finishing 9th Overall, Papenmeier will be all out to put skill-set to the test, making solid starts count for early gap in both motos.

#423: ‘I’m really looking forward to Loket. The week before we have a German Ladies Cup races in Aichwald again, so I think it’s good preparation for Loket in 3 weeks time’.
