2021 Women Motocross World Championship Profile: Shana van der Vlist hit all time career high winning WMX Round 2 at Lommel earlier this year posting impressive 2-1 to take her first ever WMX GP win. Currently standing 4th Overall heading into Final 2 Rounds later this month, Shana has edged out even most experienced riders in quest for WMX top honours.

With WMX debut in 2015, the Dutch rider has endured all challenges racing against the world’s best Women racers to deliver upward trend of results of: 21st Overall in 2015, 8th in 2016, 10th in 2017, 7th in 2018, 6th in 2019, and 6th in 2020.

Gaining first podium in 2017 at Indonesia- 3rd in what was described as mud race prior to MXGP Race 2 being cancelled, Shana has come out swinging in 2021 WMX Championship with 2nd in Round 1 at Loket and winning at Lommel.

Surprising- maybe. Yet, more to the point, Shana is dark horse of WMX. Fiercely determined, never shy of taking disappointment as learning curve for making improvements in next race, along with being fully supported by close family, friends and sponsors.

All round- great combo for Shana to succeed lining up in Spain on October 17 and then repeat self-belief mind-set at Final Round at Trentino on October 24. Whichever results play out, #188 will put head and helmet down to deliver best-as-possible performance on the track in what has been a truly remarkable race year for the 20 year old.
