Not feeling 100% over whole weekend, Amandine truely showed strength of character, determined to race for victory having come into Round 6 of 7 with 64 points advantage.

As #274 says: ‘Iffendic wasn’t the best weekend because I was sick all weekend. I was really bad but I managed to win the first race’.

‘And just before the second race I had a nose bleed so I was really bad before the race. I had a bad start but I won again. So I’m really happy to be French Women MX Champion even if it wasn’t easy!’

And the win places Amandine amongst elite French Women MX Champions, with fellow WMX Champion 2x Livia Lancelot winning the National Title 5x in previous years. Put in historical context, Amandine has written her own history in France Motocross books, as well as gaining much needed race-time heading into Women MX World Championship Rounds 3-5 in coming weeks.

#274: Yes, Iffendic was a good track with jumps and good speed. It was good preparation for WMX- also some ruts- it was really like a GP ! Really enjoyed it even though I was sick!’

Ticking top step Overall podium off list, Amandine now focuses on rest before resuming battle up front in WMX. MXGP of Loket looms in one week- and one things for sure #274 is not going to miss opportunity to stand again, on step of podium- this time in World Championship WMX Series.

#274: ‘I’m very happy to win French Women MX Title, but the most important thing for me now is the World Championship. Some rest because I’m still sick and then goal for Loket is a podium’.
