NZ’s Courtney Duncan suffered a bitter blow to her Title bid for Women’s World Motocross Champion 2016 crashing in Round 3 at Teutschenthal, Germany May 8th.

In what must be seen as the most bizarre incident where Courtney hit a photographer standing part-way on the track, Duncan crashed injuring herself and was forced to withdraw from Race 2 along with the following Rounds of WMX Series.

LittleMeeting_MXGP_3_EU_2016 (2)Having been at WMX Opening Round at Qatar in February, I witnessed Courtney at her best, racing as a professional female athlete with all that comes with it: fierce determination to win.

More importantly was Courtney’s ability to focus, to get on with the task at hand regardless of whether circumstances were to her favour- leading the points table, or not- racing outside her comfort zone at unfamiliar venues.

For the best part of 10 years I have followed Courtney’s rise, from FIM Junior World Motocross Championship racing 85cc finishing 6th in 2007, to all out hauling in USA Women’s Triple Crown AMA Pro Outdoors at Hangtown in 2013, to winning WMX Opening Round at Qatar, going 1-1 in 2016.

Suffice to say, Courtney will fight for what she wants: winning.

This is Film edit on Courtney Duncan’s World Women Motocross Title bid over first part of the Series.
