Kiara Fontanesi announces racing WMX 2021 under Gas Gas

Kiara Fontanesi has announced the 6x WMX Champion will contest 2021 Women MX World Championship under Gas Gas manufacturer. Having made switch to the Austrian Brand KTM for 2020 season, the new signing with Gas Gas surely ramps up competition between factory Brands and their rider’s with total of 7 Brands represented in WMX.

Looking oh-so-sharp decked out on Gas Gas MX250F model, tuning into fresh set of colours and gear, Kiara joins elite squad who have already firmly established credentials racing under Gas Gas across varying disciplines.

Laia Sanz joined Gas Gas competing in 2020 Dakar Rally bike category where the Spaniard finished 1st in Women’s class and 18th Overall. Having gained ‘Legend’ status for finishing 10 Dakar’s Laia whose career achievements eclipse 13 times Women Trial World Champion along with 10 times Women Trial European Champion showcase the depth of talent representative of the recently sold Gas Gas Brand.

Austria’s KTM manufacturer bought percentage of Gas Gas in 2019 gaining additional leverage to increase portfolio on range of bikes. Entering MXGP this year, Gas Gas now has in-road into Women MX World Championship with announcement of Kiara Fontanesi MXFonta Team.
