Following unfortunate crash at Reutlingen, Germany in Race 1, Lynn took time to recover, and looks forward to racing in front of home crowd with family and friends cheering her on.

#172 has added advantage of knowing track layout well- a plus given competitive racing amongst the top 3 Women with Steffi Laier on 188 points, Shana van der Vlsit 159, Lynn Valk on 144 and Danish rider Line Dam in 137.

#172: ‘After my crash in Reutlingen I had 2 weeks off – my body needed the rest. This weekend we picked up some sand training and it felt good. This week I’ll have one training and then I’m ready for the last EMX Round’.

‘I love the circuit, having raced there in the winter competition. So I know the track very well and I hope that will help me to have 2 good motos. Also I’m really looking forward to ride in front of my friends and family’.

Proving racing EMX Women along with Women MX World Championship is all-out-family affair, Lynn takes pride in having great support by her side, not to mention being able to train with her brother Cas Valk– which must be ultimate of sister-brother rivalry on track and around dinner table!

With such grounded character, and only 16 years of age, Lynn banks all training and racing experience as positive step forward to achieving short and long term goals for the future.

Having achieved 2 podiums in EMX Women Lynn says: ‘I think I improved my speed of racing over EMX Women Series. All tracks have been hard-pack and also very challenging but I liked the tracks. It has been great racing with the girls and also as practice for the WMX Rounds’.

I’m looking forward to a good weekend of racing. I want to be on the podium and get as many points as possible because I have lost many points in Reutlingen due to my crash in the first moto’.

With Round 5, final of EMX Women Championship looming, Lynn will then make most of practice time on hard-pack for WMX Round 3 at Loket on July 28th- with all important family and friends backing her all the way to the chequered.

#172: ‘I’ll go practice on hard-pack as much as possible together with my brother because we have both
hard-pack races in several weeks time’.
