Simon Crafar has achieved stellar racing career competing in Grand Prix of Great Britain through 1990’s decade, along with racing WSBK Championship through to 2001 where Simon gained 10 podiums- 4 seconds and 6 thirds. Crafar holds the record of only New Zealand SBK rider to win British Grand Prix in 500GP Championship in 1998.

Following post-racing career, Simon experienced ‘how-to-put-13-years’ racing career in positive direction, developing on-circuit rider instruction for track-day riders and professional racers in 2006. By 2011 Crafar launched Motovudu, a book and DVD Series as an instructional guide to ‘riding faster on-circuit’.

Currently, working as MotoGP commentator, Simon has indeed set bench-mark high for talented Kiwi riders keen to achieve success within Grand Prix Championship Series in Britain.

NZ’s Damon Rees and Shane Richardson racing Bennetts British SBK Championship Supersport 1000 class, join Simon to exchange thoughts, comments and insight on what it takes to race such competitive field on UK’s iconic tracks.
