Each section provides articles on women who have made deliberate decisions to pursue racing career, facing and overcoming challenges to achieve results over time. Introductions of women are also placed in context within the financial barriers that exist for Women to gain traction to race.

With emphasis on how Women have paved pathways in Motorsport, articles highlight from historical perspective how these women have contributed to the development and evolvement of Women’s participation in Motorsport disciplines. Women from varying Nationalities around the world have provided sources of inspiration from their courage to race.

Homage is paid to Women who broke traditional records held by males in The Dakar Rally, elevating FIM Women’s World Motocross Cup to World Championship level along with leaving safety of home country to race and achieve Championship Titles overseas. Equally, Women who spear-headed racing careers amidst huge social and cultural opposition must be recognized as pioneers for younger generation of women wanting to pursue racing careers.

As entries of Women racing increased, so did levels of competition. Media platforms provided resource for Women to market their respective careers while simultaneously promoting the array of Brands, sponsors and industry providers that enabled women to race. Win-win partnerships were formed with Women making sustainable decisions to cement their careers within Motorsport.

Such evolvement of Women racing as professional athletes has shifted status-quo within number of Motorsport events- namely inclusion of Formula 3 WSeries within Formula One Championship 2021, Extreme E Series inclusive of one male and one female within each Team 2021, along with elevation of FIM Women Motocross World Championship racing in TV broadcast coverage by Infront/MXGP.
