Without a doubt Women’s World Motocross Championship 2016 proved more than expected for 4x WMX Champion Kiara Fontanesi and Kiwi rookie Courtney Duncan.

The 4x Italian Champion Fontanesi experienced more than her share of highs and lows nailing WMX Round 5 win at Lombardia followed by the wrenching of 3rd place at the Final Round in Assen.

Equally gutting for NZ’s Courtney Duncan, her debut season hit extreme success winning the Opening Round at Qatar, followed by side-lined mid-season to the come-back smashing the record books with wins at the Final 2 WMX Rounds in Switzerland and Assen, Netherlands.

A rollercoaster ride for both Women does have the advantage of taking in the steep learning curves thrown at them through-out the season and coming out stronger at the end.

All of which makes 2017 Women’s World Motocross Championship all the more interesting come the Opening Round in February.

This Film Edit captures what 2016 WMX season was like for Kiara Fontanesi and Courtney Duncan.
